Poulet Basquaise & Gougère
Tonight was a french night at our household . Although i started cooking this really late , i think it’s perfectly worth to try ! Poulet Basquaise is Chicken Basquaise , it almost tastes like Chicken Cacciatore , without all the italian herbs . Home made Chicken Taco w/ Guacamole
So here is a recipe for a yummy home made chicken taco , no you don’t need to get a packet of seasoning from the grocery store . Simply , mix all these ingredients together for a taco seasoning . And everything will come together perfectly !! Today’s dinner menu is another seafood , we chose rainbow trout fish . It was basically pretty easy to make , just a little mess . Instead of using panko bread crumbs to make it crunchy , the recipe calls for pecan , which tastes pretty good . I also had the fish with warm quinoa salad with toasted almond . Caprese Salad
For lunch i made this super easy , and refreshing salad , although i have to admit , it’s not my favourite , since i am not really a cheese person , and although this salad actually has fresh mozzarella cheese , i think i would do well without the cheese . But then again it wouldn’t have called caprese salad .. LOL .. I love this appetizer , i can snack on these things more than just 1 or 2 pieces . Summer salad w/ Basic Vinaigrette
Few days ago we had a get together with some friends , and she brought salad . And when we tasted it , it reminds me of acar timun , it’s almost like pickled cucumber back in indonesia , as a condiment when we eat fried rice of chinese noodle or anything you can think of . Baked Yellow Plantains ( Maduros Asados )
I had never tried plantains before . To me , plantains are huge banana , king banana , it reminds me back in Indonesia that we have what we call Pisang Agung , it’s huge , long and skinny . Salami , Roasted Red Pepper Calzones
I made pizza last week , and i froze the other half of the dough , a good way to use the left overs pizza dough , either you make another pizza , or make calzones . I ended up using it for calzones . It has been a while since i made home made spring rolls . So today i got busy , i made couple things , it made me feel like i was in international house of flavours LOL . I usually buy croutons from the store , tonight when i was about to make salad , i just realized that we ran out of croutons , so i thought it shouldn’t be too hard to make , should it ?
